Scott Pope
Scott has laid musical foundations since 1976, as well as performing on other instruments as required by the various bands and groups he has performed with over the years, fitting everything in to the hectic schedule of office managing a local law firm. Yes, Sir Macca may be the primary inspiration as to why Scott plays bass, but he credits his great uncle with teaching him as a young teenager how to play the bass note on the down beat and the rest of the chord on the back beat on guitar to learn how to accompany fiddle tunes.
This experience taught Scott from the beginning the importance of providing a solid musical foundation to any group, whatever the genre. His other influences range from the secular to the sacred, from the classical to the contemporary, from the traditional to the trendy, and everything else you will hear in any venue from Thursday night through the weekend and Sunday morning.
Scott started playing with the M-Dock band not long after it was formed, gigged with them for a few years, then pursued other musical projects. He is now back, stronger than ever, and having more fun than ever with the band.
